Black Friday’s offering is the Air New Zealand All Blacks special scheme Boeing 777-300ER.
Our Black Aircraft Week photo-series takes on a civilian theme today, with the All Blacks (New Zealand rugby team) special 777-300ER (ZK-OKQ), photographed at London Heathrow Airport on numerous occasions by different members of the team. The All Blacks 777 was rolled out in its distinctive black, grey and white scheme in mid-December 2011 and made its maiden flight in this guise from Paine Field, USA, at the end of that month. It is one of six All Blacks-schemed aircraft operated by Air New Zealand, the others being a pair of A320s and a trio of Beech 1900Ds.
As our Black Aircraft Week draws to a close, we take a final look at some of the USAF’s ‘Black Projects’ aircraft… Check back tomorrow!
When I saw the title page at the beginning of this week I thought o.k. the Blackbird has to be early in the list and I hope Air New Zealand is a close second, well done with the project, excellent in all respects.
That’s a fine livery. Are the guys selling copies (or one-off copying permission)?
