Global Aviation Resource’s Karl Drage is currently at the Bahrain International Airshow and sent us these two images.
Running from the 16 – 18 January and in association with Farnborough International, the Bahrain International Airshow this year comprises of a five hour flying programme featuring modern military participants, aerobatics, historic aircraft and display teams.
Our very own Karl Drage is at the show, with the Huawei Twister Duo, and sent back these images. The first was taken from a mounted camera during a flight over the region yesterday morning, with Pete Wells’ and Guy Westgate’s Silence Twisters being joined by Mark Jefferies, who was flying his Extra as the photo-ship, with Karl on-board.

This second image was also taken yesterday, during a practise display flown by the spectacular Russian Knights.
As Karl said, “They flew at just the right time of day!” Didn’t they just…..

The airshow proper gets under-way on Thursday and the list of participants comprises Royal Air Force Typhoon (Flt Lt Jamie Norris flying his last shows as display pilot), Saudi Hawks, Al Fursan Aerobatic Team, Breitling Wingwalkers, Red Devils and Saudi Falcons Parachute Teams, UAE Mirage 2000, UAE F-16, The Russian Knights, Bahrain Air Force Formation, DHL 757, DHL Extra 200 & 300 (Adrian Willis and Chris Burkett), Spitfire, Gulf Air A330, F22 (Flypast), B1 (Flypast), Mark Jeffries Solo Aerobatics and Gulf Air A330, as well as the Huawei Twister Duo.
