The day did yield some interesting movements however.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none \" src=\"http:\/\/www.globalaviationresource.com\/v2\/wp-content\/gallery\/gifu\/rjng20131024-004.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Paul Filmer - www.globalaviationresource.com\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">F-4EJ taken for the first spot \u00a9 Paul Filmer &#8211; www.globalaviationresource.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gifu is home to the Japanese Self-Defense Force Air Development and Test Squadron, plus Kawasaki Heavy Industries Aeroplane Division. We could only see perhaps 50 meters of the runway, so the shooting opportunity was very tight, and we couldn\u2019t even see the approach due to the trees in the area.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none \" src=\"http:\/\/www.globalaviationresource.com\/v2\/wp-content\/gallery\/gifu\/rjng20131024-016.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Paul Filmer - www.globalaviationresource.com\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">F-2A \u00a9 Paul Filmer &#8211; www.globalaviationresource.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We decided there must be a better spot so went down the hill and ventured further into the small forest to gain a better vantage point. We found a lower spot by the fence line, but the visibility was just as limited as up high.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none \" src=\"http:\/\/www.globalaviationresource.com\/v2\/wp-content\/gallery\/gifu\/rjng20131024-018.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Paul Filmer - www.globalaviationresource.com\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">T-4 \u00a9 Paul Filmer &#8211; www.globalaviationresource.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As I didn\u2019t lug the stepladder all this way, and it was needed to see over the fence, I trudged back to the van to collect it.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none \" src=\"http:\/\/www.globalaviationresource.com\/v2\/wp-content\/gallery\/gifu\/rjng20131024-023.jpg\" alt=\"\u00a9 Paul Filmer - www.globalaviationresource.com\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">C-1FTB \u00a9 Paul Filmer &#8211; www.globalaviationresource.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the way back I decided to look for a better spot and searching around indeed found a spot where no ladder was required and we had a wider view of the runway, perhaps 300-400 meters.
