This is the second of our monthly ‘Highlights’ photo series and encompasses April 2019.

Welcome to our second Highlights photo post where you can see what the GAR team caught in the viewfinders over the last month and whereabouts they were.

As I think will become the norm, there’s real variety here, especially as Chris Wood visited Sun ‘n Fun which takes place at Lakeland (between Tampa and Orlando in Florida) and saw a huge range of types, with one notable capture being the incredible Twin-Mustang.

Rob Edgcumbe visited his local at Boeing Field and also shot a real mixture of aircraft but this really caught my eye – what a beauty, despite the rain!

And finally, before you reach the main gallery, Kevin Wills saw ZH831 at Yeovil in April, a recently converted Merlin HM2 CROWSNEST, this being the Royal Navy’s Airborne Surveillance and Control (ASaC) programme. This aircraft first flew in this configuration on 28/03/19 having already served for many years as an HM1 and is now being tested by QinetiQ.
