With more than 20 years experience of bringing aviation film action to enthusiasts, PlanesTV is one of the UK’s best known specialist production companies, the perfect partner for GAR as it looks to add fresh content to www.globalaviationresource.com as the site enters in to its second year
The past 12 months have seen GAR produce and publish more than 150 features covering all aspects of aviation, building up a large and dedicated following from across the globe and winning critical acclaim, notably that from Flightglobal which shortlisted GAR for one of it’s prestigious Aviation Web Awards.
The agreement will see PlanesTV and GAR working together initially at the UK’s diverse and thriving calendar of airshows. PlanesTV’s desire to add more interviews and personalities to their airshow coverage dovetails perfectly with GAR’s wish to add video content to their features. The two will work as a team securing interviews at a number of venues, partly for inclusion in PlanesTV’s new online highlights package which the company is aiming to release within 24 hours or so of each show’s conclusion. An exclusive video from each event will then appear in GAR’s review which follows and each interview will then be available for potential inclusion in PlanesTV’s official DVD from that event.
Speaking on behalf of Global Aviation Resource, Editor Karl Drage said:
“It made complete sense for us to talk to a professional company like PlanesTV when we made the decision to add video content to the GAR website. Hopefully we will be able to work with them at numerous shows this season and we look forward to seeing exclusive videos appear in forthcoming features.”
Adrian Campbell commented on behalf of PlanesTV, adding:
“We made the decision to add more interviews and personality to our content this season and in order to achieve that we need to work with well respected aviation journalists to help put us where we need to be and to conduct the interviews with us. GAR offers both those things and it looks as if this partnership could bear fruit for both parties and prove be an exciting tie-up for us all.”
The partnership came in to action for first time last weekend at the Abingdon Air and Country Show where the newly formed team conducted a number of interviews at both the Saturday practice sessions and on show day itself, despite the inclement weather!

Thanks for the all feedback folks - on here, Twitter, FB and elsewhere.
In answer to a question a number of people have asked me - the first exclusive video should be included with our review of the Abingdon Air and Country Show, due for publication on Tuesday 11th May.
I think I speak for everyone on the team when I say we are excited about this tie-up with PlanesTV and looking forward to bringing you some great additional content by way of video.
Cheers
Gareth
