Introducing The Breitling Wingwalkers

The deal comes after a period of uncertainty for the AeroSuperBatic outfit, with the previous sponsorship deal with cosmetic brand Guinot coming to a natural end at the close of the 2009 airshow season, leaving AeroSuperBatic’s plans for 2010 unclear. In a difficult economic climate, the quest for sponsorship is not an easy one, regardless of heritage, reputation or exposure, so to secure a deal with Breitling, which covers both the 2010 and 2011 display seasons, is therefore incredibly positive news for the team and also a welcome boost for the UK airshow industry as it faced up to the possibility of losing one of its most popular performers.

AeroSuperBatics Ltd has enjoyed a long association with the luxury Swiss watch brand, who will be sponsoring the formation pair of Boeing Stearman wingwalking biplanes. The display team is thrilled with the new paint scheme for the aircraft, specially designed by Breitling and looking forward to dazzling millions of spectators at events across the UK and Europe as the ‘Breitling Wingwalkers’.

Breitling has been a leading manufacturer of high quality chronometers since 1884 and has always been closely associated with supplying products to aviation professionals. With over 25 years experience of precision display flying, AeroSuperBatics Ltd is honoured to represent the Breitling brand.

Team Leader Vic Norman - “We are extremely pleased to have secured sponsorship from a prestigious brand like Breitling. It is one which has a long standing relationship with the aviation world, especially airshow display acts, and we are already looking forward to working with them next season and beyond.”

GAR is delighted to hear the news as their absence would have left a notable gap in the airshow line-up for 2010, and we look forward to seeing them on the circuit next season.

Hi everybody, thanks for the very kind comments. It is really good news for us in a very difficult financial climate. The sponsorship with Breitling is currently for 2 aeroplanes, this will obviously restrict the number of shows we can reach although we do plan to work very hard to attend as many as possible!

Great news on the sponsorship, well done Aerosuperbatics. Hopefully we might see you at Yeovilton in 2010.

Nice to see the team get a new sponsor. One of the best display acts around the UK.

Good luck.

Great news, my 7 yr old daughter loves the team and if it gets girls/kids interested in aviation then that has got to be a good thing.

I think they are ok as well......!

In the press release it says 'pair of Stearmans', does this mean that the team wil be reducing the amount of airaft that they will operate or that the normal display act will be a pair, to be increased at select venues?

Excellent news for a well deserving team, who always delight the crowds at the many events they attend each year!
