About Global Aviation Resource

Mark Broadbent - Staff Writer Mark, born in 1985 and Bolton born-and-bred, doesn't come from a flying family or background, but an interest in aviation was fired by visits to his local airshows at Woodford, Barton and Southport, and by living directly underneath some of the approach routes into Manchester Airport. The sight of Concorde occasionally piercing through his local skies may also have helped. Mark also writes for Aircraft magazine, for which he writes news and features about airshows and aviation heritage. He also covers aerospace and security for industry news websites, in which role he's written about a wide variety of topics ranging from airports and new aircraft to cyber warfare and IT. Mark is also a copywriter and, in aviation, has worked in this capacity with the Abingdon Air and Country Show and the Royal International Air Tattoo. For more details see www.mark-broadbent.co.uk. What interests Mark about aviation is not merely the aircraft themselves but the stories, people, history and trends surrounding them.
